LEGACY MEMPHIS
JOHNNY CASH PROJECT

In Memphis, every neighborhood has a hero and a story. Legacy Memphis is an organization dedicated to working with people in their neighborhoods to help them tell their own unique pieces of the Memphis music narrative. The organization does this by partnering with communities to erect statues, public pieces of art, and historical markers to celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of Memphis artists. Through understanding the past and the role that neighborhoods have played in its rich and complex history, Memphis will continue to develop as a culturally vibrant 21st-centry city.
